Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare excellence, is
seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse III for our Neuro Progressive
Care Unit. This critical role is designed for a compassionate and
skilled nurse who is focused on advancing their career while making
a significant impact in the lives of our neurology patients. The
successful candidate will join a team committed to innovative
treatments, exemplary patient care, and integrating clinical
practice with education and research. Provide direct nursing care
to patients in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit. Assess patient
health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care
plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to
ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. Advise patients
on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case
management. Supervise and monitor patient care provided by nursing
staff and other personnel. Implement clinically-sound decisions
based on analysis of patient condition, organizational policies,
and care protocols. Participate in educational reviews and clinical
research studies within the unit. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Advanced ability to operate medical equipment
relevant to the Neuro Progressive Care High level of stamina and
ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment Critical
thinking and problem-solving skills Comprehensive knowledge of
neurological disorders and patient care Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Certification in
Neurological Care (CNRN) is preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) &
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
