time. JOB TITLE: Ultrasound Technologist REPORTS TO: Department
Manager/Administrative Manager The following statements reflect the
general duties, responsibilities and competencies considered
necessary to perform the essential functions of the job and should
not be considered as a detailed description of all the work
requirements of this position. Ultrasound Technician Ultrasound
Technicians balance patient interaction and technological
performance with a firm knowledge of anatomy and pathology by
working cohesively with our Provider teams. As team players, they
are instrumental in ensuring our patients feel welcomed, heard, and
always respected. The Ultrasound Technologist plays a critical role
in the diagnostic imaging team by performing high-quality
ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing medical
conditions. This position requires the technologist to operate
sophisticated ultrasound equipment to capture images of patients’
internal organs, tissues, and blood flow with precision and care.
The technologist must ensure patient comfort and safety throughout
the procedure while adhering to established protocols and
standards. They are responsible for accurately documenting findings
and collaborating closely with radiologists and other healthcare
professionals to support effective patient care. Ultimately, the
Ultrasound Technologist contributes to timely and accurate
diagnoses that directly impact treatment decisions and patient
outcomes. TH/HCFAW demands excellence and expects each Ultrasound
Technician to deliver compassionate care for our patients at every
interaction. Ultrasound Technician Responsibilities Prepare and
maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated,
and functioning properly before each use. Conduct ultrasound
examinations by positioning patients correctly and applying
appropriate scanning techniques to obtain clear diagnostic images.
Review images for quality and completeness, making adjustments as
necessary to capture the required views. Explain procedures to
patients, addressing any questions or concerns to ensure their
comfort and cooperation during the exam. Maintain detailed and
accurate patient records, documenting procedures performed and any
relevant observations. Collaborate with radiologists and other
healthcare providers by providing preliminary observations and
assisting in image interpretation when needed. Adhere to all safety
protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements
to protect patients and staff. Participate in continuing education
and training to stay current with advances in ultrasound technology

person! Verify patient information by interviewing patient,
reviewing medical history, confirming purpose of visit. Performing
the ultrasound exam and following exam protocols. Explaining the
ultrasound procedure to patient as needed. Maintaining ultrasound
equipment, keeping the exam room supplied and clean. Consistently
and reliably producing quality diagnostic imaging. Accurately
completing and reviewing reports. Uploading reports in a timely
manner Presenting images and preliminary findings to the Providers
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment. Maintain
patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care
information confidential. Skills: The Ultrasound Technologist
utilizes technical skills daily to operate and adjust ultrasound
equipment, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
Strong communication skills are essential for explaining procedures
to patients and collaborating with physicians and healthcare staff.
Attention to detail is critical when capturing images and
documenting findings to maintain high standards of patient care and
compliance. Problem-solving skills help the technologist adapt to
challenging imaging scenarios and patient needs. Additionally,
ongoing learning and adaptability enable the technologist to stay
current with evolving ultrasound technologies and clinical
protocols. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an
accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology
program. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical
Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential. Valid state licensure
or certification as required by the employing facility or
jurisdiction. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and
medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging. Strong
interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and
healthcare team members. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with
specialized ultrasound procedures such as vascular, obstetric, or
cardiac sonography. Additional certifications in specialty areas
(e.g., Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered
Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)). Familiarity with electronic
medical records (EMR) systems and image archiving software. Prior
experience working in a hospital or outpatient imaging center
setting. Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse
patient populations. Education and Ultrasound Experience:
Ultrasound Certified ARDMS Certification NT Certification OB/Gyn
(2-5years experience) Personal Qualifications: Excellent
interpersonal skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
with patients. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized. Must
be able to perform quality exams in a high-volume environment. A
firm grasp of medical practices, administrative processes, and
organizational policies Must have a working knowledge of OB/GYN
patient care and related procedures. Always maintain patient
confidentiality Promptly greets, assists, and directs patients and
visitors in a pleasant and professional manner. SALARY : $25-$55
