Job Description:
Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center, where we

institution to deliver outstanding oncological patient care and
advance the frontiers of medical knowledge in hematology and
oncology. As a Clinical Nurse II in Hematology/Oncology, you will
play a key role in providing expert care to patients with
hematologic and oncologic needs. This position demands a
compassionate approach to care, outstanding clinical skills, and a
dedication to patient-centered practice. Administer chemotherapy
and other medications according to protocol, monitoring patient
responses and adjusting care plans as needed. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team including physicians, pharmacists, and other
nurses to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and their
families about disease processes, treatment, and the management of
side effects. Assist in diagnostic testing and the monitoring of
side effects, to promptly address complications. Participate in
research activities as necessary and adhere to protocols in
clinical trials. Maintain accurate and complete health care records
and reports. Advocate for patients’ needs and serve as a
compassionate liaison between patients, families, and physicians.
Proficient in administering chemotherapy and handling complications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work
collaboratively in a high-stress environment Strong organizational

license in the state of practice Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
