change. The Vice President, Business Development is responsible for
orchestrating the Strategy and Business Development functions
within Hospital Regions and across a Network project portfolio. The
Vice President is responsible for supporting growth of both a
Regional Market and Select Care Transformation Services (Service
Lines). This position will manage the assessment and development of
new services and/or programs which will increase customer focus,
better respond to community, physician and customer needs, enhance
the HMH brand and competitively advantage the organization in the
external marketplace. The VP identifies, develops and executes
growth strategies, cultivates strategic and business planning, and
leads market, business and financial analysis for key
decision-making within Regional leadership teams and as strategic
advisor to HMH Network leaders. As a strategic thought leader, the
role formulates system and entity-level strategies; identifies and
develops growth opportunities, grows key services and service
lines, assesses joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and market
opportunities. The VP, Business Development conducts market and
business analytics; and interfaces cross-functionally with system
executives and Regional market leaders. Responsibilities A day in
the life of a Vice President, Business Development at Hackensack
Meridian Health includes: • Serves as a Regional leaderships
representative to key constituencies including team members,
medical staff, other HMH hospitals and Partner Companies, the
community, and State and Local officials. • Understands relevant
issues affecting the Regional market and Care Transformation
(service line) teams, effectively promoting Network-wide strategies
and guidance. • Utilizes information and insights gained through
relationships to advance HMHs strategic position through
identification of opportunities and/or threats. • Responsible for
providing strategic advisory support to one or more care
transformation services (service lines): examples include cardiac
services, orthopedics and rehab, pediatrics and oncology. •
Coordinate and support medical staff development plans. Works with
the SVP, Strategy / BD and Physician Enterprise leadership to
establish physician recruitment goals. Ensures plans reflect
growth, replacement clinical, service line, and academic needs.
Coordinates implementation and tracks progress. • This position
will manage the assessment and development of new services and/or
programs which will increase customer focus, better respond to
community, Physician and customer needs, increase volume and
competitively advantage the organization in the external
marketplace. • Facilitate Physician alignment in concert with
(Regional leaders, physician relations staff and other Network
participants). • Responsible for supporting the development of
Regional market strategic plans in coordination with Director,
Strategy designed to optimize matching of patient complexity at the
right site of care. • Responsible for leading implementation on
numerous Regional initiatives outlined in the Regional strategic
plan • Support ambulatory strategy formulation and lead ambulatory
development (implementation) initiatives within assigned HMH
hospital/region and to ensure evaluation of migrating Physician &
Hospital programs to new outpatient sites of care. • Lead
integration of physician enterprise and hospital resources in
support of ambulatory site development. • Develop/oversee the site
of care as well as Care Transformation Services growth strategies
to further same site of care HMH brand and position. • Professional
development of direct reports and contributing to a learning and
transformative Strategy/ Business Development team. Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: • Bachelors
Degree. • Minimum of 7 years experience in strategy or business
analysis including market, operational and financial assessments,
or similar experience of solving strategy and business development
problems. Progressively responsible management experience in
strategy, corporate development, market analysis, business
development, or healthcare management. • High energy, strategic
thinker with track record of executing with strong analytical with
critical thinking abilities. • Strong project management skills,
including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, manage
long-term projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously. •
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation
skills, including experience presenting to executive-level with
storyboarding, development and delivery to executive audience.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: • Masters in
Business and Health Administration or 15 years of applicable
experience in the field. • Project management experience. •
Experience working with medical staff and hospital leadership. •

$288,121.60 Annually HMH is committed to pay equity and
