Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position with required Epic EMR experience and an active NY RN license. Responsibilities - Position is in the Critical Care Float Pool at a hospital setting - Shifts are 12 hours from 07:00 to 19:30 - Assignment length is 13 weeks - Must float among various critical care units including potential neuro, SICU, and others - Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required - No blocked scheduling allowed - Must not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties - More than three call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination and make-up shifts are required within six weeks of the last call out - All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application - Facility allows only medical exemptions for flu vaccination signed by a licensed professional - Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment - May only be submitted to one position at a time Requirements - Active NY RN license required - Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience - Certifications must be current and from AHA or RQI - Must have experience with Epic EMR - No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months - US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted) - Must complete and pass ICU competency testing with up to two attempts Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-666501.
