Coach at Beat the Streets NY About Coach Across America Founded in
2010, Coach Across America is a national service organization
dedicated to inspiring youth to achieve their potential by
connecting them with coaches trained in positive youth development.
We do this by identifying, training, and supporting coaches who
bring sports-based youth development to partner organizations in
the most underserved communities. What Youll Do This Coach Across
America member will serve with Beat the Streets New York,
supporting youth wrestling programs for students in grades K12. The
coach will assist with planning and leading practices, mentoring
student-athletes, and supporting athletes during competitions and
events throughout the season. Working closely with Beat the Streets
NY CAA staff, the coach will help promote sports as a tool for
youth development, academic success, and personal growth in
under-resourced communities. This role requires availability for
practices multiple times per week, as well as participation in
competitions and seasonal events. Coaches will receive sports-based
youth development training and contribute as part of a
collaborative, mission-driven team. Schedule: Sunday, Tuesday,
Thursday; 4:30pm-7:30pm Stipend: $5,850.00 Education Award:
$1,956.35 Uniform Policy Coaches must wear Coach Across America
branded t-shirts provided by Coach Across America when coaching and
at program sessions and events. Eligibility & Qualifications The
ideal candidate will be a current or former coach with demonstrated
interest in sports-based youth development programs ready to take
their career to the next level as the leader of an emerging
initiative. Previous Sports Based Youth Development, non-profit, or
related education or experience. Coaching and mentoring experience
preferred. Self-starter with strong organizational skills and
attention to detail. Coach Across America members are as diverse a
