Job DescriptionSUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:The Human Resources
Coordinator assists with the administration of the day-to-day
operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR
Coordinator carries out responsibilities in some or all of the
following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS,
employee relations, training and development, benefits, payroll,
organizational development, executive administration, and
employment. An important part of the role will be to act as the
liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and
prompt resolution of requests and questions. This role will help
with the implementation of services, policies, and programs. The HR
Coordinator reports to the Manager of Human Resources. Essential
Functions:
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and
systems
- Serves as HealthStream Administrator
- Assists with Performance Management training
- Provides support in the recruiting process by posting positions
and coordinating phone screens and scheduling virtual & in-person
interviews
- Assist in bi-weekly payroll administration and HRIS
administration
- Makes sure that the workspace, computer and other equipment,
and appropriate installed software are ready for the new employee's
start day
- Prepares paperwork required for new hires and establishes
employee file
- Properly triages complaints and grievances
- Provides administrative support to Human Resources staff
- Updates staff directory & the company's organizational chart
and maintains a database of employee contact information
- Periodically audits the database to ensure accuracy
- Maintains organized and accurate employee files in compliance
with applicable legal requirements
- Assists with the day-to-day transactions of the 401(k)
plan
- Conducts employee orientations
- Processes tuition reimbursement
- Processes employment verification and unemployment claims
- Assists in the development and implementation of new personnel
policies and procedures
- Collaborates internally to plan and coordinate employee
engagement activities
- Serves as a resource for the organization's department
managers
- Assumes other duties as assigned by the Manager of Human
ResourcesQUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Healthcare Industry experience preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in human resources
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office
Suite including working knowledge of MS Teams and demonstrated
knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with HR databases, HRIS systems, and ATS
software
- Experience with Visio Professional
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- General knowledge of various federal and state employment laws
and practices including FMLA and ADA regulations
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and identify and resolve
problems in a timely manner
- Reliable professional that can work in a fast-paced
