Position Summary. The Senior Director, Marketing Operations and Marketing Technology position is accountable for leveraging strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration to collect, prioritize and drive MarTech investment and adoption for the Global Marketing organization. This role requires the ability to liaison within the marketing strategy of businesses and then translate that marketing vision to a technology implementation to deliver on marketing goals, improve business value, and differentiate the experience for stakeholders. The role will deliver key insights and recommendations that optimize the performance of marketing programs and drives business value.. Essential Functions. Liaison between Enterprise Marketing, IT organization and Businesses to architect the overall MarTech stack and vision, incorporating all business requirements and use cases with input from enterprise wide marketing stakeholders to deliver a multi-year roadmap, keenly connected with the Portfolio roadmaps. Partner closely with the Procurement, Sales, GD&A, and IT departments in conducting data analyses, data acquisition, database and vendor management, and marketing automation including:. Identify and consolidate multiple instances of same or similar marketing technology product and establish what technology is used for a given purpose. Identify and sundown outdated or unused marketing technology products. Research and recommend new marketing technology products, manage negotiation and contracting with external vendors. Monitor the performance and other SLAs of marketing technology products. Integrate marketing technology products with non-marketing systems. Security reviews. Ensures MarTech needs are delivered on time and on budget. Catalog existing MarTech spend and conduct ROI measurement and performance tracking across the enterprise. Design and manage internal workflows and processes. Responsible for implementing and integrating MarTech systems into Global marketing. This includes training and supporting marketing staff on MarTech. Qualifications. 10 to 16 years relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree. Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals and experience with marketing automation platforms and/or marketing technology systems. Demonstrated experience in ability to manage complex projects and Process Improvement strategies across various groups. Exceptional organizational abilities and demonstrated excellence with data management, and use of related tools; experience in data quality within marketing technology products. Exceptional communication and presentation skills are a must. Demonstrated ability to motivate & influence people and teams both within Marketing as well as our matrix partners and must have a strong background in business case development. About The Department. This role sits within the Marketing Operations organization within Cigna Global Marketing. It will support all key Cigna portfolio brands and business lines..
