**Essential Job Functions**

+ Network Engineer experienced with Cisco routers and switches design engineering

+ Highly skilled in the use of troubleshooting tools

+ Network design and documentation, including drawings

+ Implementation of new or refreshed networks

+ Maintain medium to large networks.

+ Work daily Incident and Request Service Now tickets: analyzing, troubleshooting, completing remediation efforts to resolve network device and Wide Area Network issues including completing documentation of the effort and resolution.

+ Configure and upgrade network hardware and software code

+ Complete Change Management process / approvals for all changes

+ Completion of changes and maintenance in the Maintenance Window

+ Follow process and procedures for wiping equipment to be returned to storage or a vendor

+ Proactive checks of equipment and reports for errors that can be fixed before an outage occurs

+ Create and maintain network documentation related to deployed assets

+ Participation in the On-call rotation to provide 24/7 Network Engineering support

+ The ability to make Presentations to the customer's senior management.

+ Understanding the BGP configuration templates that define the Network routing design

+ The implementation of the BGP WAN design as outlined in the WAN Network Design Standards

+ Test and Turn-up of all MPLS, AVPN circuits with provider, including scheduling and troubleshooting.

+ Configuration of all Customer Edge (CE) router equipment that works with the Provider Edge (PE) MPLS router

+ Configuration of route maps, ACLs and BGP routing that is required as part of the network design

+ Creating As-Built documentation for all sites as they are commissioned, refreshed, or changed

+ Maintain the security of the network infrastructure and compliance with all applicable security standards

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Current Cisco Certification - CCNP or CCIE

+ Minimum 5 years' experience with WAN/MAN and Cisco routers and switches

+ Experience working with local area network systems and technical infrastructure communication issues

+ Experience working with network systems and networking principles, data, voice or video

+ Experience working with network software and hardware, data, voice or video

+ Experience working with multiple technical platforms (e.g., mainframe, two-tiered client-server, three-tiered client-server)

+ Possess Department of Defense (DoD) security access and/or DoD security clearance

**Required Qualifications**

+ 10+ years WAN Network Engineering

+ 10+ years' experience in Cisco Switch/Router network configuration and trouble shooting

+ Highly skilled in Cisco router configuration and troubleshooting

+ Expert level knowledge of ACLs & Policies, policy maps

+ Expert configuration, design, and troubleshooting knowledge of routing protocols - BGP and EIGRP

+ Expert in routing - traffic engineering, configuration and troubleshooting

+ Expert knowledge of COS/QOS

+ Expert knowledge of routed protocols - TCP/IPv4

+ Expert knowledge of LAN switching and Spanning Tree protocol

+ Expert Knowledge of packet shaping

+ Expert knowledge of IPSec, DMVPN, VRF's, and TACACS

+ Knowledge of Visio and Network documentation, including drawings

+ Knowledge of Service Now ticketing

**Work Environment**

+ Office environment

+ May require on-call work

+ May require weekend or shift work
