Senior Cognos Report Developer is to develop effective and high
quality Cognos and Tableau reports that meet business requirements.
Technical abilities include following Cognos, Tableau, SQL,
Business Intelligence (BI) best practices, data management,
security and content administration, performance tuning, unit
testing and system testing support.You'll enjoy the flexibility to
work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some
tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:
- Data visualization - Design and create Cognos framework models
and reports, as well as Tableau dashboards to support business
requirements
- Support Business Analysts - understand business needs and help
define requirements for reporting solutions
- Data analysis - Perform detailed data analysis, understand data
structure and content, write complex SQL queries
- Establish standards - Follow data visualization best practices,
performance tuning, create / maintain report design related
templates and artifacts
- Quality Assurance - Unit test activities including developing
test cases and documenting test results, supporting system and
integration testing, identifying and resolving defects
- Proactive and diligent in identifying and communicating scope,
design, development issues and recommending potential

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Cognos administration, security, modeling and
reporting. Must have experience developing complex models using
Framework Manager (Advanced).
- 5+ years of SQL (Oracle, SQL Server. Teradata or similar),
including complex queries and stored procedures (Advanced)
- 3+ years of Healthcare claims domain knowledge in a data
warehouse environment (Intermediate)
- 3+ years of Tableau report development (Intermediate).
- 3+ years of Enterprise Data Warehouse data models and
dimensional modeling concepts (Intermediate)Preferred
Qualifications:
- Agile Scrum/Kanban experience - experience in Rally
- Code versioning tools - experience in GitHub
- Solid communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, follow
development standards and effectively raise critical issues with
potential solutions

City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is
$82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New
York City residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several
factors including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
