    job summary:
    Growing manufacturer in the Hartford, CT area is seeking a Field Service Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical equipment. Must be open to weekly travel throughout a New England territory, home on weekends. Company vehicle provided. Paid overtime after 37.5 hours/week.
    All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

    responsibilities:
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Perform installation, maintenance, calibration and repairs on electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
      
      
    • 
      Travel to customer sites in CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, ME and part of NY to perform service
      
      
    • 
      Increase service contracts
      
      
    • 
      Promote new preventative maintenance contracts
      
      
      Requirements:
      
      • 
        
      • 
        at least 2 years of field service experience, servicing electromechanical equipment
        
        
      • 
        Must be able to reach schematics
        
        
      • 
        Ability to travel during the week, some overnight stays
        
        
      • 
        Valid driver's license and clean driving record
        
        
      • 
        Excellent written and verbal communication skills
        
        
      • 
        Degree or certificate in electro-mechanical technology preferred; will consider equivalent field or military experience
