A candidate for this job should have a desire to work in an Agile & DevSecOps team that is evolving around next generation cloud-friendly solutions and practices. The role will have the opportunity to work on new technologies and grow technical leadership skills. This individual will work with the team to develop a modernization strategy to migrate legacy applications to cloud-native formats with DevOps toolsets. We are looking for an individual to provide technical guidance and leadership. In this role, you will need to gain a deep understanding of business and recommend technical solutions. This candidate must be comfortable preparing detailed technical design documents and working with a team of analysts and developers to lead the design implementation.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and maintaining cloud-friendly applications using multiple cloud-based technologiesDriving automated testing and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (e.g., Concourse, Jenkins)Preparing and executing a strategy to migrate legacy applications to cloud-native and DevSecOps toolsetsWorking closely with the business product owners and DevSecOps teams to prioritize features in the backlogsIdentify special projects and new technologies to align with strategic prioritiesBuild detailed technical design artifacts and oversee implementationDemonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.Practice Agile and DevSecOps methodsEnsure Code Quality Assurance by participate and ensure code review healthinessControl technical debtPromote collaboration and engagementParticipate in every stage of the application lifecycleMaintain environment availability and stabilityQualificationsExtensive programming and application development experience including one or more of the following technologies: JAVA, JAVA Spring Boot, Angular Rest Service or Web-Flux and Micro ServiceExperience with these cloud and DevOps tools is required, which includes Tanzu, SpringBoot, OAuth2, Angular or React, Rest Service or Web-Flux Concourse, Veracode, SonarQube, Apigee, Kafka or Google Pub/Sub and GitHubFirsthand experience in designing, building and delivering optimized 3rd party (External Software) integrations through API Integrations or Other integration tools and technologiesExperience with Micro Service Architecture and Event Driven Architecture implementationExperience executing test-driven designExperience with relational database design patterns and query buildingAbility and aptitude for cloud-based software development in a team environmentPassion/self-motivation for on-going continuous learningExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent analytical skillsExcellent organizational skillsBachelor's Degree in related field preferred8+ Years of work experience with extensive JAVA/J2EE Development preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this levelApplies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projectsParticipates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goalsRecommends new practices, processes, metrics, or modelsWorks on or may lead complex projects of large scopeProjects may have significant and long-term impactProvides solutions which may set precedentIndependently determines method for completion of new projectsReceives guidance on overall project objectivesActs as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesAnticipated salary range: $119,800-$171,100Bonus eligible: YesBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 10/25/2024 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The salary range listed is an estimate.
