Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator Job Location: Lexington MA 02420 Onsite Requirements: Red Hat Linux Scripting experience with either: Python, Bash, or Ansible Network administration, Security Job Description: Must be knowledgeable in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Min 7 years of hands on with various Linux. This is a Linux Systems Administration role. Scripting experience with either: Python, Bash, or Ansible Network administration: managing data center and small network configurations: switches, routers, firewalls, modern software management and monitoring tools, some knowledge of automation technique System administration: install, maintain, package, patch business/user applications and Linux-based computer systems Skills: Experience with managing classified IT systems, STIGs, SCAPS, RMF Experience and familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Experience and familiarity with Ubuntu Experience maintaining directory services. (e.g., IDM and some Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, etc.). Experience with virtual machines. (e.g., VMWare vSphere, etc.). Experience managing system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. Able to diagnose and perform repairs on faulty system/server hardware. Install, update, and troubleshoot systems/servers. Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures. Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures. Conduct periodic system maintenance including cleaning (both physically and electronically), disk checks, routine reboots, data dumps, and testing. Provide ongoing optimization and problem-solving support Skill Matrix: Certification CompTIA Security Certification - Yes Experience Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance) - Yes Networks Networking Applications and Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP and HTTP/S. - 7 years Networking experience (routers/switches/firewalls/servers) - 7 years Troubleshoot and Resolve Complex Networking Issues - 7 years Programming Scripting Experience: Python, Ansible, TCL or Bash - 7 years Systems Configure and Maintain a Number of Linux Systems Utilizing Scripting Languages and Automation Tools - 7 years Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp - 7 years Hardware and Software Integration - 7 years Redhat Linux Systems Administration - 7 years Systems Administration - 7 years Ubuntu Systems Administration experience - 3 years Certification Red Hat Linux Certification - Yes Degree Level Bachelor's Degree - Yes 3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position. 3rd party subcontractors need not apply.
