(Field Services) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and
motivated Field Services L2 Network Engineer to join our team. The
ideal candidate will have experience in service delivery, field
services, and LAN survey roles, with a strong focus on hands-on
tasks and technical expertise. The role involves working with
various network technologies and tools. Key Responsibilities:
Perform rack and stack of network devices, servers, and firewalls.
Ability to cable devices including working with copper, fiber
(single and multi-mode), and SFPs. Ability to work with patch
panels, port maps, and cabling best practices. Install, terminate,
and test Ethernet and fiber optic cables. Perform cable management
to ensure organized and efficient cabling infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues related to cabling.
Upgrade OS versions on network devices from vendors such as Cisco,
Meraki, Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, and Fortinet. Apply network
configurations to devices from various vendors. Gain console access
to network devices for configuration and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, ensuring
minimal downtime and optimal performance. Work with common network
protocols and tools to diagnose and resolve network issues,
including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, spanning tree, VLANs, and QoS. Respond
to escalated client requests and escalate unresolved, or complex
problems, to the relevant third parties. Assist with the
documentation of standard operating procedures relating to
installations and fixes. Take ownership of assigned work and issues
that may arise. Collaborate with client IT teams, onsite and
remotely to implement network changes and upgrades. Create,
maintain, and update network documentation, including diagrams,
configurations, and procedures. Assist in the design and
implementation of network projects and initiatives. Ability to
travel 50-75% required. Must live near a major airport. Physical
ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in
confined spaces. Must be able and willing to work at heights up to
12 feet using ladders and/or up to 40 feet with scissor lifts, as
needed. This position may require working in various environments,
including data centers, office buildings, and construction sites.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in network
technologies. Perform any other related tasks as required.
Knowledge and Experience: Seasoned understanding and appreciation
of technical design and business principles. Seasoned project
skills which are demonstrated in the execution of installations and
other assignments. Excellent customer engagement skills.
Demonstrate relevant domain specialist knowledge. Excellent verbal
communication skills. Experience conducting LAN and network surveys
Client-focused and displays a proactive approach to solving
problems. Ability to work under pressure. Good knowledge of network
protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with cable testing
tools and equipment. Experience with network monitoring and
troubleshooting tools. Familiarity with network security principles
and best practices. Familiarity with network devices and their
connectivity requirements. Ability to read and interpret network
diagrams and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and analytical
skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to
work independently and as part of a team. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a
related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3-5 years
of experience in network engineering, with a focus on field
services roles preferred. Relevant certifications such as CCNA or
equivalent are preferred. Existing Scissor Lift and Fall
certifications are preferred. A willingness to obtain and hold

this remote role is $45/hour This range reflects the minimum and
maximum target compensation for the position across all US
locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors,
