Job Description:
MV Transportation, Inc., a leader in public transport services
across North America, is seeking a proactive Information Technology
Manager to oversee the IT functions of our rapidly expanding
operation. This role is crucial in maintaining the technology
infrastructure that supports our diverse transit solutions, from
paratransit services to large-scale bus routes. The ideal candidate
will manage our IT assets, ensure optimal technology operations,
and drive innovations that enhance the efficiency and reliability
of our transportation systems. Develop and implement IT policies
and best practices for hardware, software and network management.
Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, deployment, and
maintenance of technology solutions. Oversee the security of IT
systems and manage responses to any breaches or disruptions. Liaise
with department heads to forecast technology needs and plan
upgrades accordingly. Manage vendor contracts and relationships for
IT services and equipment. Monitor IT budgets and ensure cost
efficiency. Ensure all IT activities comply with industry and legal
standards. Lead and mentor IT team members, while fostering a
collaborative and efficient workplace. Strong technical skills in
network architecture, database management, and information
security. Proficient in IT infrastructure and cloud-based solutions
relevant to transportation and logistics. Excellent leadership and
project management abilities. Ability to communicate complex IT
concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with systems
integration, and IT optimization in a transportation or logistics
context. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certified Information Systems Security Professional
(CISSP) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
preferred. Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate
(CCNA) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) are a
plus.
