JOB SUMMARY: Guide efforts to build and implement quality improvement initiatives with clinical care sites and professional organizations participating in collaboratives or programs focused on value-based care. In collaboration with the Interprofessional Care Team, provide tailored coaching and consultation to health organizations and care delivery teams around the United States to support the transformation of the oral health care delivery system to one that effectively and efficiently treats, prevents, and manages oral diseases. Serves as the subject matter expert on new value-based payment models and will design an approach to help practices solidify operations, reporting, and readiness to succeed in alternative payment models that move from fee-for-service to value-based payment approaches. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: In collaboration with the Director of Value-Based Care and Practice Improvement Specialist develop and support a coaching program that provides dental practices interested in oral health value-based care with information on strengthening finance and operational processes, adapting to alternative payment models, and integrating care approaches. Assess, analyze, and relay to participating practices and other stakeholders the advancement of alternative payment models, performance metrics and other relevant value-based initiatives by states and national organizations. Provides general project management for value-based care projects, programs, and initiatives. Work with Interprofessional Care, Evidence-Based Care, and Analytics teams to develop and implement business solutions at care sites and healthcare organizations that benefit communities. Work with analytics teams to evaluate the characteristics of value-based care readiness and sustainability In collaboration with internal teams and external partners, work with stakeholders to evaluate the impact social determinants of health and value-based oral health systems have on communities and health systems. Work in a cross-functional manner with internal and external partners to improve the development and implementation of value-based processes at clinical care sites. Gather information from Network Management Programs team and combine it with externally acquired information about financial systems to educate clinical care sites Working with analytics and programmatic teams, introduce new alternative payment models and measure the impact of changes l Review the statistical analyses of practice data to determine the ongoing impact of participating site improvements on key OHVBC outcomes. In collaboration with internal teams, develop quality improvement tools and processes to assist practices in measuring the effectiveness of care on targeted populations and the impact on value-based care finance arrangements Act as a subject matter expert for OHVBC Build strong internal relationships with DentaQuest leaders to increase the use of the Partnership's OHVBC work in driving business innovation and value. Other duties as needed or required JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Master's degree in public health, medicine, dentistry, or healthcare administration (or related field) or equivalent, relevant experience in public health, oral health or rural health or practice operations. 5 years' experience leading the design and implementation of system-redesign, quality improvement, or re-organization efforts Working knowledge of quality improvement methodology, including applying the methodology in clinical practice. Demonstrated success in partnering with clinical care providers to make changes to clinical practice. Demonstrated success in project management, including planning, implementation, and delivery of results. Experience in working with statistical analyses. Working knowledge of web-based learning concepts Ability to attend to multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize tasks and perform in a fast-paced environment. Interest in working in a result-driven environment. Strong project management, leadership, and organization skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Well-organized and superior organizational, written and oral communication skills, particularly presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient with general computer software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Proven problem-solving skills. Ability to make good judgment conclusions based on data available with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks with tight deadlines. Preferred: Certified in Process Improvement programs Clinical Certification or Degree PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively. Requires overall light physical effort (up to 25lbs.) Manual dexterity and sitting are required in carrying out the position's own position responsibilities (i.e. use of a personal computer). Ability to travel or move about within and outside serviced facilities required. Incumbent works primarily in either a private or shared office environment.
