Job Description Summary
The Director, Workforce Solutions will be responsible for
serving as an employee resource with respect to issues of fairness
and equity. This position is responsible for partnering with Legal
and various HR COE’s including Employee Relations, HR Analytics,
Compensation, HR Generalists, Talent Acquisition, Enterprise
Organization Effectiveness and Diversity & Inclusion to gather and
analyze feedback from employees and provide business intelligence
to identify potential issues and trends while working with the
appropriate leaders to implement solutions as needed.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Partners with VP of Workforce Solutions and independently leads
environmental scans or sensing sessions for employees on an ongoing
basis to gather candid and real-time employee feedback regarding
employee workplace experiences, company culture and improvement
Partners with VP of Workforce Solutions and independently works
with Travelers’ HRGs, EOE, ER, Compensation and Diversity and
Inclusion to assist leaders, where appropriate, in developing
action plans and ensuring implementation.
Corresponds with employees on issues of fairness and equity post
investigations to discuss the outcome of the investigation, make
sure employees feel heard, and discuss next steps moving
Reviews internal HR policies and procedures to assess whether
there is potential bias and makes recommendations om process
Creates the methodology to synthesize data from multiple
internal and external sources to identify trends, best practices
and competitor positions and tactics and reports out on information
Minimum of eight years related work experience in human
Broad knowledge of human resources processes including employee
relations, performance management, organization development,
diversity and inclusion, compensation and talent acquisition.
Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
Seasoned human resource professional, typically with ten or more
years of experience, with most experience preferred in related
roles (Employee Relations, HR Generalist, Diversity, Employment
College degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations,
business or other related course of study or equivalent.
Related work experience in a complex, matrixed and global
corporate environment. Insurance industry knowledge a plus.
Superb listener who knows how to build and establish trust in
people at all levels. Employee sensing session and environmental
scan experience a plus.
Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies
Excellent oral and written communications skills with the
ability to develop and deliver presentations.
Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively
manage completing priorities, multitask and execute on

collect data, gather metrics and report on outcomes.
