The individual we need will function as a member of the Trinity
Health Of New England Philanthropy leadership team, the Chief
Development Officer (CDO) will plan, coordinate and assure the
implementation of strategies to develop donor and secure
contributions to support the hospital. The CDO works
collaboratively with hospital and philanthropy leadership and the
Board to achieve philanthropic goals.
The ideal candidate will serve as a critical leader of the
THOfNE Philanthropy Team, strategize and implement all aspects of
fundraising activities and strategies in keeping with the missions
of the Foundation and Hospital.
Responsibilities include oversight of all aspects of the
Foundation’s major gifts program, giving program, corporate, donor
recognition, planned giving, special events, prospect research,
donor cultivation/stewardship, and board relations.
Other key components include; develop relationships and create
compelling proposals that resonate with prospects, turning them
into major donors. Display a drive to provide patient-centered
experiences through scholarly scientific inquiry, compassion for
the human spirit and mind, advocacy and education for the patient
and families, and collaboration with all those who touch our
patients. Must have excellent communications and
relationship-building skills, analytical abilities, technical
(computer) proficiency, high integrity and a sustainable track
record in closing major gifts solicitations.
