Leads operational and/or scientific projects and initiatives
within a matrix environment including but not limited to
information management, scientific resource development, business
development, external (company sponsored or investigator initiated)
research, and other projects that increase the contributions and
productivity of US Medical Affairs - Oncology (USMAO).
Applies advanced field-based medical experience, subject matter
knowledge, and skills in supporting medical strategies for Takeda
Oncology compounds and in addressing unsolicited requests for
medical information from healthcare professionals, as well as
managed care organizations, payers and other formulary decision
Contributes to the development of operational and scientific
USMAO plans including pre-launch plans, budgets, and
therapeutic/product medical plans.
Participates in the development of and leads the delivery of
training and educational initiatives.
Proactively identifies and leads cross-functional projects and
initiatives that are aligned with company objectives and enhance
the effectiveness of USMAO and Takeda Oncology
Leads and facilitates the fulfillment of unsolicited requests,
coordinates and delivers scientific, health economic, and disease
awareness information as presentations or other forms of scientific
exchange to regional managed care organizations, payers, and other
formulary decision makers.
Contributes to the development and coordination of training
initiatives within USMAO.
Assists management team and field scientific leads with planning
and coordination of field team meetings, conference calls,
candidate screening and selection, and serves as a back-up as
Continuously evaluates and improves knowledge/information
management systems and/or scientific materials for use by
Collaborates with commercial and operations partners to provides
field input as well as scientific expertise, and coordinates
delivery of medical support to sales training and speaker training
Collaborates with Field Management regarding the execution of
USMAO/MSL strategy at medical conferences and Takeda
Oncology-sponsored meetings by coordinating MSL deployment,
pre-conference briefing meetings, leading daily meeting debriefs,

Coordinates collection and reporting of medical insights and
intelligence from the field in order to define and support medical

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
An advanced degree (Master's) or terminal degree (doctorate) in
a health sciences related field such as a PharmD, MD, Ph.D.,NP
preferred with a thorough grasp of the pharmaceutical industry.
Healthcare or related experience (managed markets, clinical
practice, research or academic) including a minimum of 7 years of
medical affairs/medical science liaison experienc e within the
pharmaceutical industr y .
Possesses superior communication skills, both oral and written,
and able to engender trust and respect of peers, subordinates and
Well-versed in highly technical and scientific languages in
order to communicate with key Thought Leaders, Medical Affairs,
Research and Development, as well as other key internal and
