Come join the Aetna International Business Solutions team! We’re looking for a driven product consultant to join our team.

The Business Solutions team brings together, Product, Marketing and Sales Support.

Joining forces with the Business Solutions will allow you to be creative, strategize, design, and deliver innovative and compliant products.

The ideal candidate will support product initiatives by developing new products that meet marketplace demand, independently manage mid-size product enhancements that maintain and enhance our existing portfolio, and ensure that all offered products comply with all domestic and international laws and regulations.

This position will also support the legislative implementation process to ensure the activities required in response to new laws and regulations for the Americas business are compliant and completed in a timely and accurate manner.

This role will manage activities related to efforts to maintain and possibly expand Aetna International’s state filings in the US.

Demonstrated project management skills, with knowledge of product and systems are a key competencies.

Fundamental Components

Communicates product features and fundamental components to the organization that reflects the product and responds to the needs of various “stakeholders” (i.e., employees, customers, shareholders) while communicating the need and rationale for policies and standards.

Represents product strategy in cross functional project activities.

Collaborates with market segment to develop and implement plans to achieve segment product strategies

Serves as project manager and/or participant for selected projects.

Independently manages mid-sized product enhancements.

Ensures that systems are designed, developed, implemented and maintained from a product and business/customer point of view.

Performs research and analysis on legislative, competitive and industry issues to recommend new products or product enhancements.

Participates in idea generation and project vision sessions for the development of new products and product enhancements.

Gathers and analyzes feedback in support of performance analysis for products and continual improvement.

Coordinates with individuals in the Product & Regulatory Affairs organization to ensure compliant filings.

Facilitates approvals and expedites resolution of issues pertaining to product form and rate filings.

Effectively manages multiple filings and projects to ensure that regulated products meet both external requirements and internal business objectives.

Works closely with Legal and Compliance colleagues to promote and ensure compliance and state/federal/international laws and regulations and implementation of risk management policies.

Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies between Aetna International and Domestic organizations, including Product & Regulatory Affairs, Legislative Analysis Unit, and Legislative Implementation Unit.

Operates with flexibility to assist with other team related tasks.

Acts with professionalism and demonstrates high personal standards of performance and integrity.

Serves as a credible resource to constituents.

Background Experience

3-5 years related work experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Job Information
