You'll succeed as our Systems Engineer if you become a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. This long-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity is based in the Hartford, Connecticut area.What you get to do every single day- Configure, test, maintain, and install application software, system management tools, and operating systems- Survey and sample application performance for potential bottlenecks, pinpoint possible solutions, and cooperate with developers to perform those fixes- Stand by for 2nd and 3rd level support- Establish standards to actively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability- Manage redundancy strategies, security, and backup- Be a part of the development of design of information and operational support systems- Band together with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution- Type and continue custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks- Govern and oversee all installed systems and infrastructureJob Requirements:- This position will be the best fit for a candidate who has experience with automation software - This position will be the best fit for a candidate with proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems - Candidates who have solid scripting skills will be the best fit for this position - We are particularly looking for candidates who have experience with virtualization and containerization - This position will be the best fit for a candidate who have solid networking knowledge - Solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365 - Knowledge of Microsoft Azure - Applicants should have experience with monitoring systems - This position will be the best fit for a candidate with solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacksRobert Half Technology matches IT professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
