Location Virtual, US Category Technology Posted Date: 03/26/2021 Job Id 21004537 As a member of the Mainframe Engineering team, the Senior CICS specialist will collaborate with other Senior Engineers across the enterprise on the delivery of key infrastructure projects. The engineering team is responsible for the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of all IBM System z hardware and software. Current projects focus primarily on improving our overall resiliency and High Availability with plans to move into a regional Active-Active environment. The mainframe software stack consists of z/OS, CICS, DB2, MQ and numerous OEM products from multiple vendors supported on IBM z14 processors, IBM DS-888* storage and TS-7700 virtual tape technologies all replicated in a GDPS, Metro Global Mirror environment leveraging GDPS / HyperSwap technology. Qualifications:

• Technical leadership of large scale mainframe infrastructure projects
• Hands-on technical expertise building and supporting complex CICS environments leveraging:
  • DB2 Data sharing
  • MQ Shared Queue Managers
  • Communications Manager
  • 10 years of CICS Systems Programming and Internals including a "Master-level" knowledge / understanding of CICSPlex and OEM products
  • Self-motivated professional capable of working independently or part of a large team
  • Strategic thinker and results-orientated
  • Ability to coordinate projects with end users and technical teams in a high paced service oriented environment
  • Strong overall problem solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities:
    • Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions to meet new or existing business requirements
    • Provide timely diagnosis of application or system issues, identify root cause and recommend appropriate solutions
    • Provide consulting and support to large and diverse application development organization
    • Installation, configuration and maintenance of CICS and associated program products
    • Provide 7x24 support as scheduled or as needed. Capable of handling high risk and high visibility tasks with ease. This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
