Job DescriptionOur IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation. We are seeking an experienced, energetic, forward-thinking professional to join our IT Workplace Services team. The role will be responsible for providing staff leadership, supplier management, end user computing support and to supplement core infrastructure support for the Animal Health division. The candidate will focus on applying and supporting the capabilities provided by the engineering teams. The expected outcome will include driving excellence in user experience, resource alignment, behavior and meeting operational performance metrics. The individual shall collaborate across borders and drive objectives with a sense of urgency. This leader must bring organizational skills to plan, manage, and continuously improve IT support. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on global teams to identify and tackle the biggest opportunities and challenges at the intersection of healthcare and information technology. Primary Activities / Responsibilities + Delivery of IT Support services that is cost effective and of high quality. Ensure that end user computing equipment is provided, maintained and properly processed at the end of life. Scope of IT infrastructure support includes laptop/desktop, mobile devices, networks, security, servers and telephony throughout all the Animal Health sites in the US. + Provide the necessary oversight over suppliers to deliver services, including managing to contracted terms. + Collaborate with the Help Desk organization to shift work left as necessary to reduce costs and provide better self-service to the end users of the technology provided. + Close cooperation with divisional aligned IT teams and the business to deliver IT services and capabilities to support the business needs. + Provide smart-hands technical support of the local computer room environment and communication closets. Promote collaboration with all IT divisions as well as parts of the business to break-down organizational boundaries in favor of a highly-collaborative and customer-centric culture. + Execute on the IT strategy, priorities and service model for the infrastructure deployed, end user IT devices as well as back-office infrastructure locally implemented. + Manage and forecast budget regarding the departmental operating expenses of IT support and infrastructure. + Participate on global and regional IT projects, as well as ensuring all on-going maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancements are performed in a timely manner and according to company standards. + Represent the organization on projects that are IT or business driven such as PC life cycle, mobile device upgrades, network, server or telephony equipment maintenance as well as initiatives such as office moves and site consolidations. + Support Mergers, Acquisitions and divestiture activities including equipment optimization, setup, and disposal. Aid in the establishment of IT services at new sites as a result of business growth. + Ensure that standards, policies, procedures and methodologies are applied to the development, implementation and operating processes, and that the companys infrastructure environment is consistent with good business and computing practices. + Accountable for the support of the printer fleet for the division. Coordinate with Global Output Services team and the supplier to deliver robust and reliable printing, scanning, SAP printing and faxing services to the business. Manage the efficiency and spend of the managed print program at a local level to deliver optimal efficiency. People Management + Provide operational leadership to a team of employees and suppliers within IT Workplace Services across 10 sites in the US. + Responsible for all personnel management activities for the employees assigned to him/her, including hiring, performance management, career development, coaching, training, and termination, as needed. + Create a culture of innovation, transformation, experimentation while maintaining a focus on the best customer experience and continuous improvement. Demonstrates the ability to listen to others and integrate alternate points of view in decisions and ideas. + Problem Solving: Demonstrates the ability to identify and integrate patterns, trends and inconsistencies across multiple data sources to determine their broader implications. Demonstrates the ability to quickly identify potential sources of problems and develop imaginative solutions. Education: + Bachelor's degree required. Qualification and Experience: + 7 years of relevant IT experience. + 3 years of leadership experience in a matrix and global environment. + Experienced with Supplier Management and Stakeholder Management. + Understanding of end user computing support in a Managed Service environment. + Strong understanding of ITSM and ITIL frameworks. + Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies. + Strong experience with capital and expense planning and budget monitoring. + Excellent written and verbal communications skills. + Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. + Able to effectively communicate across multiple cultures. + Experienced leader able to embrace both tactical and strategic thinking.
