Job Description Summary

Exciting opportunity to lead and grow a data-driven content marketing team for a major B2B and B2C insurance industry leader.

Reporting to the head of Content Marketing, Web Strategy and Operations, you will be responsible for developing cross functional and enterprise content strategies, content marketing solutions and overseeing the creation of design, written, and/or multimedia content. This position manages a team of content strategists. You will focus on providing leadership to staff, assisting in developing the content strategy for enterprise functions and business units, and developing complex content solutions to meet business and corporate marketing objectives.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that content initiatives support business objectives, delivering required look, feel and appeal. Identify and recommend changes for maximum effectiveness.

  • Utilizes extensive array of design, written, and/or multimedia content applications, software, tools and equipment to create marketing content and content strategies.

  • Stays abreast of cutting edge technology and makes recommendations to management on potential enhancements.

  • Contribute to definition of content parameters/strategies that capture and project corporate identity and maximize style, brand identification and translates desired impact.

  • Reinforce design, written, and/or multimedia content strategies with staff to ensure that brand identity are reinforced by all marketing content. Identify and provide input to management on potential enhancements to content strategies.

  • Responsible for managing staff responsible for developing either design, written, and/or multimedia content.

  • Accountable for recruiting, selection and onboarding of new staff. Coach development and manage performance. Provide input on compensation decisions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of related content development experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience.

  • Requires thorough knowledge of company product/services and marketing strategies to develop company digital channel content and maximize traffic to sites.

  • Requires thorough knowledge within the creative development, design, copy, production and media planning functions and the ability to integrate and coordinate internal and external resources.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Management, Journalism or graphics design from AIGA accredited school or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Typical incumbent experience level 8-10 years.

  • Thorough knowledge of digital and content marketing, graphic design and digital design, flow and site organization.

  • Extensive experience with public web strategy, SEO, Martech stack, taxonomy, design, copywriting and editing, media and production activities with ability to manage creative projects from conception through implementation.
