Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Trinity Health of New England is looking for a Medical Physicist to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.Our state-of-the-art-technology and programs include two Varian Clinac iX linear accelerators with MLC's, OBI, and ASi Portal Imagers, MOSAIQ record and verify system, RayStation & Pinnacle TPS, Elekta HDR unit with Oncentra TPS, active prostate permanent implant brachytherapy program using intra-op VARISEED TPS, as well as an extensive Cyberknife SRS/SBRT program. The treatment units are complemented with Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT simulator and Varian Acuity Simulator. The Enfield satellite facility is equipped with Elekta Infinity linear accelerator with Agility MLC, XVI, and iViewGT portal imager, and Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT simulator. The Department has a dedicated upgrade program with recent upgrades to the HDR unit (2019) to MicroSelectron Digital/V3 model and Cyberknife upgrade to Model M6/S7 (2020).Next steps planned are to replace the existing Varian Clinacs within the next 2 years.Top Reasons to Work at Trinity Health of New England:Great benefitsHealth Insurance CoverageCareer growth and advancement potentialWork Hours/Shift:Full-Time, 40 Hour - DaysYou Will Be Responsible For:Providing quality medical physics support to the radiation oncology department or the imaging department to assure effective use of radiation in the treatment and diagnosis of disease.Assisting with managing the radiation safety program.Implementing Quality management concepts in radiation oncology or imaging to assure high quality radiation therapy treatments or diagnostic procedures.Demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and competence.Contributing to staff development.Requirements:Education and Experience: Ph.D. or Masters prepared candidates are encouraged to apply. Three or more years of relevant clinical experience and ABR or equivalent certification are desirable but consideration would be given to recent graduates from a CAMPEP approved residency programs in Therapeutic Radiological Physics. Prior experience with Cyberknife linear accelerators and/or HDR brachytherapy is a plus.Skills:Good communication skills. Ability to work in a group.
