Hospital Charge Audit Operations Support Overview of position: The Hospital Charge Audit Support (HCA) & Operations Support role is a liaison between the HCA team and our providers and auditors. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? + Point of contact to triage, escalate and track issues as well as facilitate closure through coordination of appropriate resources (both internal/external) + Research, compile, verify and format data for provider consumption+ Ability to understand, retain and apply client and provider policies and contractual agreements+ Detailed logging and maintenance of payer-provider issues requiring resolution+ Log, scan and/or track items received and ensure follow-up is completed+ Send or receive correspondence via email, mail, fax+ Make calls to providers (hospitals) in order to retrieve medical records or itemized bills+ Provide feedback and information to operations teams and audit staff+ Represent the Hospital Charge Audit team in client meetings; ensuring clear two-way communication between internal/external customers and operations+ Other duties as assigned What are the requirements needed for this position? + High School Diploma or GED+ 2+ years of experience in provider audit and/or customer support to providers, insurance companies, etc.+ Microsoft Office Proficiency, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint+ Strong planning, organizational, problem solving and time management skills with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities+ Effective verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to develop effective relationships with our internal/external customers+ Must be self-directed and be able to accomplish work with limited supervision and general work direction+ Ability to write detailed, concise customer facing emails and lead customer calls+ Confidence in ability to make decisions and support those decisions What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? + 2+ years experience in group/individual health claim benefits services+ Experience with hospital charge audit process+ Medical Terminology & documentation experience+ What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
