are hiring a Senior Data Modeler to join our Group Benefits Data
Delivery organization. This role will work within our Agile Scrum
teams to unlock Data Capabilities for The Hartford's Enterprise
Data organization in IT to support Group Benefits of Business
initiatives.You will have an opportunity to participate in the
entire software development lifecycle process in support of
continuous data delivery, while growing your knowledge with
emerging technologies. - We use the latest data technologies,
software engineering practices, Agile delivery framework, and are
passionate about technology and building well architected and
innovative solutions that drive optimal business value
generation.Responsibilities include:
- Design Logical Data Models and steward the data design of the
asset -
- Ensure alignment with the larger roadmap goals; enable and
influence the timely and successful delivery of business data
capabilities and/or technology objectives
- Act as a lead data modeler and mentor colleagues with less
experience
- Understand, interpret, analyze and communicate value of data
across different stakeholder groups such as analytical, business
intelligence, IT, etc.
- Utilize tools such as Talend, Informatica, B2B, PL/SQL, Hadoop,
etc--- to develop data assets that support organizational decision
making via prototyping, data discovery, profiling, etc
- Leverage cloud technologies, data mining and Business
Intelligence tools to analyze large amounts of data identifying
relationships and patterns within the data.
- Partner with various parts of the organization to build a
working knowledge of the organization, business, processes, and its
customers.
- Solve a range of multi-dimensional technical and business
questions through data analysis.This cutting edge and forward

Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company
sponsorship.
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science,
Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Experience must include at least 5 years of experience with in
Data Modeling, data warehousing and data design (includes use of
ERWIN, Oracle).
- 5-7 years of experience in data modeling/engineering, data
design and analytics. Proficiency in - data modeling, SQL, ETL,
performance tuning, production engineering, job scheduling,
continuous deployment and operations support
- Experience with modeling tools like Erwin and/or ETL tools like
Talend or Informatica
- Minimal knowledge on programming languages such as Python,
Java, Spark; version control tools like GitHub.
- Preferred experience in service designing with tools like
enterprise architect.
- Preferred experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS,
Snowflake, Dremio
- Preferred experience in PL/SQL and use of databases such as
Oracle and SQL Server;
- Experience in Agile development methodologies with a preference
of Scrum and/or SAFe a strong preference.
- Experience with end-to-end Data Warehousing architecture and
concepts and ETL best practices
- Delivery experience including full lifecycle from conception to
successful implementation.
- Able to work independently and act as a resource for colleagues
with less experience
- Experience with Insurance domain Behaviors at the Hartford

- Solve it! CompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is
primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external
market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the
listed range based on factors including but not limited to
performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required
for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's
total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include
short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot
recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
