**Job Description**As a System Architect and Principal Engineer in the Office of the CTO of Intel's Datacenter and Artificial Intelligence Group, you will be driving innovations and leading Systems Architecture definition and hardware design for the datacenters of the future. Principal Engineers at Intel are active technical leaders inside and outside the company. Activities include participation in major industry and academic conferences, voting membership in international standards committees, generation of patents and technical papers.Responsibilities for this role include development of System Architecture solutions to improve performance and Total Cost of Ownership using resource disaggregation and pooling techniques in the datacenters. You will be responsible for the architecture and design of systems for the emerging datacenter of the future architectures. Should be capable of planning and executing independently and lead a small virtual team of architects across the org. System architecture skills include: understanding of memory bandwidth/core, coherency at system level, board architecture and layout tradeoffs, power delivery, signal integrity tradeoffs, ability to prototype, forward thinking, and experience in system design.Responsibilities:Lead, architect, design, develop system design alternatives for future platformsDevelop Proof of Concepts and collaborate across the org and with customers to introduce new system architecture capabilitiesDevelop and deliver CXL based disaggregated memory that optimizes for the system performance and provide TCO benefitsLead system hardware for intelligent resource management solutions for optimal allocation of disaggregated memory resources in a clusterCollaborate with architects across Intel and hyperscale customers to drive hardware architecture features for the next platformAdditional SkillsLeadership with good documentation, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to work across diverse teams, build strong partnerships to synthesize and forecast challenges/gaps**Qualifications**Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields with 10+ years or relevant experience7+ years of experience in Systems Architecture and Design5+ years of experience in Memory Architecture, Board Architecture, Signal Integrity/Power or Storage related technologiesPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of CXL architecture and/or other coherency interfacesExperience with multi socket board and system designsExperience in designing, developing, and deploying systems for the cloudKnowledge of best practices and IT operations for a multi-rack, scale-out cloud infrastructureUnderstanding of Windows and/or Linux operating system environmentsUnderstanding of cloud workloads and benchmarksRequirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.**Inside this Business Group**The Data Center & Artificial Intelligence Group (DCAI) is at the heart of Intel's transformation from a PC company to a company that runs the cloud and billions of smart, connected computing devices.
