We offer professional development, tuition reimbursement, and career pathways that allow you to develop your career while an Oak Hill employee.About the position:The Program Assistant at Oak Hill's Hartford Primary Classroom works 40 hours/week, Monday thru Friday 8a-4p (8) provides administrative, supervisory, instructional support to the Special Education Teacher in the classroom. Schedules direct care paraprofessionals to ensure adequate classroom staffing levels are achieved coupled with leads the classroom in the absence of the teacher. Manages and supports all classroom administrative operational functions. Applicants currently in school matriculating toward a bachelor's degree; have experience in an educational environment or have experience working with individuals with disabilities; are ready to inspire and support staff to help students achieve their educational goals, are encouraged to apply.Minimum Requirements:--- Bachelor's degree--- At least age 18--- Valid driver's licenseo. Depending on the location, A Public Service license with a V endorsement may be required during the initial employment period, and this is facilitated through Oak Hill. "V" endorsement is required for operation of a student transportation vehicle, transporting students to and from school, including vehicles transporting special education students.
