The Hartford is looking for an experienced, energetic, and passionate Lead Quality Engineer to support our strategic agenda for the Group Benefits policy administration transformation program. The individual will be part of a large team driving a highly visible strategic agenda for the organization. They will coach and ensure the scrum teams adopt quality engineering practices. They will partner with the scrum masters, software engineers, product owners, release train engineers, SDETs and other QA Leads to form a multi-application program test strategy to develop and optimize automated test executions. Responsibilities:+ Accountable for overall test planning and test execution across the program that consists of multiple Agile Release Trains and a System Team within complex integrated landscape+ Design and build test architectures (test automation frameworks, code libraries, etc.) for the team to use across the platforms+ Design and build automated test data management capabilities across our ecosystem+ Identify tools and technologies for implementation that align with business goals, current infrastructure, and application landscape.+ Create frameworks, automated storage and distribution for reporting quality results+ Design and execute a test strategy by applying industry-accepted practices, tools and technologies.+ Provide technical leadership and coaching to all engineers+ Ability to understand release needs and determine integrated test environment needs+ Support optimization of regression testing time by leveraging Selenium Grids and Containers+ Knowledge on AWS cloud technologies+ Knowledge of Agile Scrum/SAFe methodology+ Effectively use collaboration tools like Rally+ Passionate to learn new technology and support enterprise goalsRequirements:+ 7+ years of experience in leading Quality engineering teams+ 5+ years of experience with Test automation tools+ 3+ years of experience with Selenium, Protractor or Cypress.+ 2+ years of experience with DevOps tools+ 1+ years of experience on Infrastructure, OpenShift and IAC tools- Optional+ Insurance & Financial services domain knowledge+ Knowledge in Group Benefits is added advantage+ BS in Computer Science or equivalent experienceCandidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorshipRemote candidates welcomeCompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
