Job Description:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of production, materials handling inside facility and production control.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the unit or sub-unit. Receives predetermined work assignments with specific instructions. Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules. Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. Generally supervises nonexempt employees (e.g., Assemblers, Technicians, clerical support). SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Mfg. Management:

  • Ensure adherence to Safety protocol of all Mfg. Areas
  • ConductDaily Production Meetings as deemed necessary
  • Schedule/coordinate quarterly/weekly/daily production requirements
  • Manage production capacity to ensure maximum throughput is achieved
  • Over-time tracking including weekly justification documentation
  • Maintain KPI metrics to monitor production deliverables / impacts to weekly targets
  • Work with Leads to develop cross-training strategies/ schedules
  • Track Direct on Indirect Labor
  • Team and Cell Lead development and training
  • Interview candidates for potential employment
  • Create and submit Recognition awards
  • Timecard monitoring & approvals
  • Track attendance & provide feedback to employees when applicable
  • Document employee issues & provide EE with feedback (Quality, Productivity, Attendance, etc.)
  • Conduct Morning Communication Meetings 2X/week
  • Provide manufacturing support for NPI as required
  • Create and submit Recognition awards & promotions as warranted
  • Communicate weekly projected shipments
  • Participation in bi-weekly Quality Circles
  • Monitor discretionary spend
  • Create PO and track Production spending as required
  • Support all Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Monitor Cumulus Aged work orders, Quarterly Quality Audits, Leader Standard Work, Opportunist Board, Andon Board and 6S action items
  • Conduct annual Performance Reviews as well as mid-year Reviews
  • Strong computer/Microsoft Office skills demonstration including readouts to Sr. Management
  • Project Management
