Job Description:
SUMMARYThe Stewardship & Donor Relations (SDR)/Communications
Associate is a creative and detail-oriented professional who will
contribute to the overall success of the Stewardship, Donor
Relations & Communications Team. Coordinates and performs a variety
of administrative and operational support duties that require
strong writing skills, a familiarity with various digital
platforms, tremendous attention to detail and the ability to manage
multiple projects. Primary focus will be to support Digital
Foundation Communications, Stewardship Communications and Events
and the Patient Ambassador Program. Works independently with
moderate supervision.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESProvide general project
support to the Stewardship, Donor Relations & Foundation
Communications Team with particular focus on Stewardship
Communications and Events, the Patient Ambassador Program and
Digital Foundation Communications.Support Foundation Digital
Communications in the promotion of philanthropic events, cause
marketing and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals programs
by:Drafting social media contentCreating and posting digital
calendar listingsPosting blog stories and maintaining other digital
assetsSupport Foundation Print Communications, Philanthropic
Events, Stewardship Reports and Proposals by:Maintaining a Patient
Ambassador database accessible to Foundation and
Marketing-Communications teamsSupporting the intake and data entry
of Patient Ambassador stories from website, providers and the Honor
Your Caregiver program.Assisting in identifying appropriate patient
ambassadors for Philanthropic Events program needsSupporting the
administrative needs of the Patient Ambassador program (e.g.
emails; mailings, assisting with patient ambassadors at
events)Support Stewardship and Donor Relations by:Drafting and
monitoring template acknowledgement letters for all Foundation
giftsDrafting acknowledgement letters for leadership and major gift
donorsAssisting with logistics for Stewardship and Donor Relations
events, including but not limited to Mini-Internship, President's
Circle events, endowed chair investitures, the Isidore Wise
scholarship programThe Stewardship, Donor Relations & Foundation
Communications Associate will maintain the highest quality of
standards thus ensuring positive relationships with past, current
and potential donors.Will help represent Connecticut Children's
Foundation in the community (events, meetings, Medical Center
tours, etc.), furthering Connecticut Children's reputation for
excellence.Demonstrates support for the mission, values and goals
of the organization.Performs other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDStrong writing skills.Knowledge of and
proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Experience
with Salesforce, Classy or Drupal is preferred, but not
required.Experience with creating effective content for social
media platforms.Ability to work independently, while prioritizing
and successfully managing multiple projects.Attention to detail and
ability to meet tight deadlines.Creativity and the ability to
remain organized.Ability to support a team and work with a positive
attitude.Ability to provide one's own reliable
transportation.Exceptional judgment and ability to exercise
discretion handling confidential financial and personal
information.Ability to work occasional nights or weekends, in
accordance with scheduled events.Work Environment:Professional
office setting. Most likely in cubicle or shared office
space.Requirements:Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in
Communications, Marketing or Humanities, with 2 years relevant work
or volunteer experience preferred.High School Diploma or
equivalent, plus minimum of 2 years relevant work experience may be
considered in lieu of degree.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel
and PowerPoint required. Previous use of Salesforce, Classy and/or
Drupal is beneficial.
