Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Hartford, CTPlacement Type: Contract to HirePayrate: 25.00 - 28.00Job Description:--- Processes and enters 200-400 invoices per week depending on volume--- Process and verify for accuracy--- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances--- Charges expenses to accounts and costs centers by analyzing the invoice/expense reports--- Codes invoices accurately--- Schedules and prepares checks/wires/ACH payments--- Identifies and resolves contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation--- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions--- Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation--- Responds promptly and appropriately to all vendor inquiries--- Assists in month end close process to help complete close according to scheduleSkills:Accounts payable, great plains, Invoice processing, Accounting, Invoicing, Purchase order, Payable, Reconciliation, Way match, Microsoft office, Microsoft excel, Three-way matching, Coding, Finance, Accounts payable/receivable, Vendor management, General ledger.
