Job Description:
Blazerworks is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced
Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Hartford, CT. This
position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive
speech and language services to students in grades 5-8, supporting
their communication and academic success. Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and
communication skills
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and
interventions to address students' specific needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in
small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to
support students' progress and generalization of skills
- Monitor and document student progress, adjust treatment plans
as needed, and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development
of students' educational plans
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding
speech and language strategies in the classroom
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based
practices in the field of speech-language pathology Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited
program
- Current state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in
Connecticut
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
(CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with school-aged children,
preferably in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their
impact on academic performance
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with
students, parents, teachers, and other professionals
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate school hours and
student needs
