Job Description:

Blazerworks is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Hartford, CT. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in grades 5-8, supporting their communication and academic success. Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions to address students' specific needs
• Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' progress and generalization of skills
• Monitor and document student progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans
• Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding speech and language strategies in the classroom
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in the field of speech-language pathology Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in Connecticut
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their impact on academic performance
  • Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate school hours and student needs
