Job Description:
The Military Engines validation planner is responsible for creating
and maintaining Program Specific Engine Development Plans which
define the schedule and testing of major system rigs and
development engines to validate and comply with the regulation
authorities and/or customer defined requirements. The validation
planner aligns the verification test matrix to establish where the
appropriate test objectives will be executed within the development
plan. In this role you will work closely with the Validation
Manager to execute the development plan while maintaining schedule
and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate / maintain Rig Development Plans (RDP) and Engine
Development Plans (EDP) utilizing lessons learned from previous
programs and from other risk-based tools.
Work with the program Component Integrated Product Team's (CIPT's)
to review and coordinate individual Test Job Requests (TJRs) which
define the objective specific test requirements and associated
instrumentation.
Initiate the Data Configuration System (DCS) instrumentation memo
to define agreed to instrumentation with our Development Operation
counterparts in the Measurement Center.
Project and track program metrics which may include fuel usage,
engine hours, engine cycles, and high-level failures discovered at
test.
Define Special Test Equipment (STE) requirements to support test
objectives relative to overall quantities and managing usage
throughout the program.
Coordinate with internal and external customers to gather
development/validation requirements and work through program
challenges.
Identify improvements to Engineering Standard Work (ESW) during
execution of assigned tasks.
Support Development Operations with periodic test supports as
required depending on program
Support Production Operations with the creation of Pilot Lots, Test
Instruction Sheets (TIS) and other compliance program and
production deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in Systems, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of experience in Engineering or 3+ years with an advance
degree
US Citizenship due to government contract
Security clearance or the ability to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications:
Systems Engineering, Assembly or Test Engineering experience
preferred
Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler Model Based Systems
Engineering
Basic knowledge of instrumentation and recording requirements
Possess excellent organization, communication and project
management skills.
Possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work both
independently and in a team environment.
