The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. In this role we will look to you to:- Leverage current experience and knowledge of the information space and how application architectures impact it including: ML, AI, Cloud native, APIs and Event-driven architecture to shape architectural outcomes- Form strong partnerships with Software Engineering to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions- Quickly gain and apply learnings of new and modern information architecture practices in the cloud- Display strong thought leadership in current information, business intelligence, and analytics architecture- The work arrangement for this position is based on location.Let us help you accelerate your career as we grow our team and transform our business!What Will You Do?Architecture responsibility within a major segment of Technology Architecture in support of the Bond & Specialty business unitLeads technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutionsHands-on prototyping of new technology solutionsPartner with Software Engineering to execute proof of technologiesProvides architecture direction for engineers in support of a technical patternDisplays strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principals and technology modernizationDrives continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debtCreate a partnership with Software EngineeringLooks for opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterpriseParticipates in defining target state technology architecture and roadmapsEnsures alignment of IT initiatives with the target stateBuilds strong partnership with engineering to ensure proper alignment of skills with technology directionContinuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the architecturePerform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Bachelor's in technology related field or equivalent with 4+ years of technology Engineering experienceOrganizational experience in an agile operating modelEstablished work in proof of concepts and technologyStrong proven Software Engineering experienceSupports technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goalsInsurance technology experience desiredStrong grasp of value creation and business capability modelsInnovation and Continuous ImprovementMust be passionate about technology transformationsHas hands on experience in the last 3 yearsExecuted technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API StrategyCurrent experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOpsCloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on CloudGood understanding of securityExperienced with large scale technology platformsExperience modernizing data technology and information architecture on cloudExposure and understanding of advanced analytics techniques using ML and AIHands on experience with data technologies on cloudWhat is a Must Have?Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.Five years of experience in engineering software or analytic applications within a line of business areaWhat Is in It for You?Health Insurance: Employees and their eligible family members - including spouses, domestic partners, and children - are eligible for coverage from the first day of employment.Retirement: Travelers matches your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to your first 5% of eligible pay, subject to an annual maximum.
