The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. In this role we will look to you to:- Design the next generation information architecture that enables Personal Insurance's business vision- Be an expert in one or more areas across Data & Analytics domain including data storage (Data Lake & Data Warehouse), data integration, business intelligence, artificial intelligence & machine learning- Drive the implementations of domain driven designs of Data Models, Data APIs and Data ProductsPartner with cloud and security architects, data and software engineers to implement cutting-edge but pragmatic solutions that will enable business outcomes with data and analytics using a combination of deep technical skills, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills- Keep up with marketing trends in the Data & Analytics area and identify new opportunities of technologies & solutions; you will be part of the team driving the technology selection and partner with an engineering team to conduct proof of technologiesLet us help you accelerate your career as we grow our team and transform our business!The work arrangement for this position is based on location.What Will You Do?Lead technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions and partner with Software Engineering to execute proof of technologiesHands-on prototyping of new technology solutionsProvide architecture direction for engineers in support of a technical patternDisplay strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principals and technology modernizationDrive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debtLook for opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterpriseParticipate in defining target state technology architecture and roadmapsEnsure alignment of IT initiatives with the target stateBuild a strong partnership with engineering to ensure proper alignment of skills with technology directionContinuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the architecturePerform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Bachelor's in technology related field or equivalent with 4+ years of technology Engineering experienceOrganizational experience in an agile operating modelEstablished work in proof of concepts and technologyStrong proven Software Engineering experienceSupports technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goalsInsurance technology experience desiredStrong grasp of value creation and business capability modelsInnovation and Continuous ImprovementIf Cyber: CISSP, CISM, Security+, CISA or equivalent Cybersecurity certification preferredust be passionate about technology transformationsHas hands on experience in the last 3 yearsExecuted technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API StrategyCurrent experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOpsCloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on CloudGood understanding of securityExperienced with large scale technology platformsExperience modernizing data technology and information architecture on cloudExposure and understanding of advanced analytics techniques using ML and AIHands on experience with data technologies on cloudWhat is a Must Have?Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.Five years of experience in engineering software or analytic applications within a line of business areaWhat Is in It for You?Health Insurance: Employees and their eligible family members - including spouses, domestic partners, and children - are eligible for coverage from the first day of employment.Retirement: Travelers matches your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to your first 5% of eligible pay, subject to an annual maximum.
