the Opportunity: - As a vital member of the Cardiac Surgery team,
the APP will deliver expert, compassionate care to patients in our
18-bed Cardiac Surgery intensive care unit (ICU), step-down unit,
and floor settings. Responsibilities include: - Managed
preoperative and postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients. -
Perform bedside procedures including central venous and arterial
line placement, intra-aortic balloon pump removal, etc. - Provide
care for patients undergoing advanced procedures, including heart
transplants, ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), mechanical
circulatory support, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement
(TAVR). - Conduct thorough patient assessments, developing
individualized care plans, and closely monitoring progress. -
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of
teamwork and concise communication to ensure optimal patient
outcomes. - Support seamless transitions of care between the ICU,
step-down, and floor settings. - Provide patient and family
education, ensuring a clear understanding of the surgical process
and recovery journey. - Schedule: Full-time employment includes
day/night/weekend/holiday rotation. Permanent night positions are
available. Premium night/weekend differentials offered. - Call

Assistant (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (APRN),
preferably with 1+ years of relevant experience in Cardiac Surgery,
critical care, or surgical settings. - New graduates are welcome to
apply. - Eligible for licensure in the state of Connecticut. -
