DescriptionCompensation Range: $17/hr - $19/hr commensurate with experience.BenefitsWe have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit. This money is available for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and text books.OverviewThe Residential Aide Floater (RA Floater) ensures the wellbeing and safety of the programs clients and staff during their shifts. The RA Floater provides crisis intervention as needed to maintain residential and facility security.The RA works in shifts of 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 12am, and 12am-8am. The RA may also work 12am-12pm, or 12:00pm-12:00am. The Residential Aide will work at Lexington Avenue during various shifts on an as-needed basis, as determined by the Lexington Avenue Residential Aide Supervisor. Shifts will not be scheduled back-to-back, nor will the midnight to 8:00a shift be required. Weekly work schedules will be provided with a minimum of one weeks notice; however, twice each month, if it is necessary, 72-hour notice to fill a shift will be required. The schedule operates 7 days a week, and all holidays as needed.Responsibilities

  • The RA makes sure that the programs Code of Conduct is enforced and adhered to by program clients.
  • Build rapport with program clients and engage with them professionally and respectfully.
  • When necessary, de-escalate tense, even hostile, client situations
