Join us and start doing your life's best work.SM This position takes a lead effort in improving end to end inbound encounter accuracy, timeliness, and completeness. - The scope includes initiating and leading encounter related projects, diagnosing issues, identifying and leading process improvements, and becoming an encounter SME resource for both the internal organization and the broader industry. - - You will partner with teams across the organization to lead process improvement initiatives that meet the needs of encounter business key stakeholders. - This position requires the ability to act independently to lead and diagnose data driven process improvement opportunities, as well as the ability to drive complex issues to resolution with minimal supervision. This will improve the care provider experience by reducing the administrative burden that the issues place on both UHC and the delegated provider. - This position will utilize your project management and analytical skills as well as extensive knowledge of the business and the business processes to implement this operational infrastructure. - This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 5:00pm). *All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance encounter submissions End to End across all platforms.
  • Lead large, complex projects to facilitate encounter submission when 837 standard process not possible (i.e., House Calls).
  • Partner with the ARA Team to develop proactive data analytics, enhance analyst efficiency and automate processes.
  • Support multiple federal and state audit, HEDIS reporting etc. and misc. encounter data requests.
  • Liaison with Optum Insight, Transunion, and other key partners on the E2E encounter path.
  • Represent UHC on the Industry Collaboration Effort (ICE) Committee consisting of many payers/providers to design industry best practices.
  • Support testing efforts for all capability development and deployments and creates SOPs
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure implementations meet all need
  • Direct partner developers to ensure all project requirements are met
  • Create user guides that document and define encounter submission best practices.
  • Provide appropriate subject matter expertise for the encounter data end to end process.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) of the issues, including any barriers or risks to their resolution. -
  • Continual business process transformation

    • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
    • 3+ years of experience developing, and leading implementation of business process change initiatives, including documentation
    • 3+ years of experience using operational metrics, data/analytics, capacity planning, goals/objectives and dashboards to run, interpret, and drive business performance
    • 3+ years of -experience in leading/driving meetings and conversations and communicating with internal/external stakeholders and executive leadership.
    • 2+ years of -experience/knowledge of database structuring
    • 3+ years of -experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes
    • Advanced Excel Skills (pivoting, formula mastery, advanced filtering, duplicate identification, etc.), Intermediate Microsoft Access Skillset (writing queries, table Joins, advanced formula mastery, etc,)
    • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need
      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Master's Degree (or higher) in business administration/Accounting
      • Experience in the Health Care industry
      • Knowledge of Value Based Contracting or Capitated Delegated Division of Responsibility business models
      • Black Belt or similar ability to design new processes
        Telecommuting Requirements:
        • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
        • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
        • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 - $129,900.
