The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$130,600.00 - $215,400.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Are you ready to change OUR world? Do you like working independently but value collaboration and relationship building?We have extensive learning opportunities and we passionately believe continual learning helps you better achieve your career development goals and contribute to forward-thinking innovation.The work arrangement for this position is based on location.You will:Have Architecture responsibility across the Digital Enablement business unit.Help build the roadmap for our migration to the cloud.Provide architectural strategy and subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas (dependent on knowledge and expertise): Cloud, Integration Patterns (including APIs & Events) , Design Patterns, Domain Driven Design (DDD) and associated techniques (ie Event Storming), DevSecOps/FinOpsProvide overall technical leadership for end-to-end solutions.Be a liaison across the technology team to influence, advise on, and harvest cloud practicesBe a key influencer in the evolution of how we deliver business value to our customers.Develop guidelines and guardrails to enable teams to be more self-sufficient.Help raise up the technical skill level of the teams you support.Drive a test and learn mindset through the organization.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Bachelor's in technology related field or equivalent with 5+ years of technology Architecture experienceExperience providing mentorship to architects/engineersOrganizational and transformational experience in an agile operating modelEstablishes strategic technology direction and architecture vision for an organizationStrong proven Software Engineering experienceDeveloped technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goalsProven track record of influencing senior leadershipInsurance technology experienceStrong grasp of value creation and business capability modelsInnovation and Continuous ImprovementMust be passionate about technology transformationsHas hands on experience in the last 3 yearsExecuted technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API StrategyCurrent deep experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, DevSecOpsCloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on CloudGood understanding of securityExperienced with large scale technology platformsWhat is a Must Have?Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.Six years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or cloud solution architecture.What Is in It for You?Health Insurance: Employees and their eligible family members - including spouses, domestic partners, and children - are eligible for coverage from the first day of employment.Retirement: Travelers matches your 401(k) contributions dollar-for-dollar up to your first 5% of eligible pay, subject to an annual maximum.
