Your Role and Responsibilities
As the AI Applicants/ Sterling Sales Leader in the United States, you will be a key contributor to how IBM brings its Sterling offerings to the Communications, Industrial, Public and Distribution markets. You will work with clients, territory sales teams, and broader ecosystem of ISVs and services organizations to drive consumption of our Sterling offerings.

This is an indirect leadership role responsible for sales across all client segments in the Financial Services market. You will contribute to overall sales but will not be the quota holding seller for specific accounts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet signings, revenue, and pipeline objectives for Sterling across the US geography
  • Build sales play strategy and execution plans based on client and market insights
  • Transform and simplify sales processes to meet speed, productivity and growth objectives while ensuring client success
  • Influence clients' cloud adoption decisions at executive level through strong understanding of client challenges and opportunities and IBM's value proposition
  • Engage in key opportunities to help teams drive closure
  • Identify new opportunities with clients and business partners
  • Team with IBM's Business Partners to drive more opportunities#National_Sales

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise
    • At least 5 years sales, business development or marketing experience with Sterling offerings successful track record and/or:
    • At least 5 years' experience working with Sterling in technical or line of business roles with demonstrated leadership for cloud adoption and/or transformation
    • Strong sales & technical skills
    • Competence in executive presentations
    • Knowledge of Industrial, Communications , Public and Distribution Industries dynamics and trends
      Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
      • At least 7 years sales or business development experience for Sterling product offerings with Industrial, Distribution, Public and Communication clients with successful track record and/or:
      • At least 5 years experience working in the technical or line of business roles with Industrial, Communications, Public and Distribution industries with demonstrated leadership for cloud adoption and/or transformation
      • Experience in building Go-To-Market plans
      • Proven ability to lead cross functional teams

          This position is eligible for participation in an IBM sales incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change.
