best talent for a Principal Scientist, Global Proteomics to be
located in Cambridge, MA. Purpose: Do you want to use your

patients? Join the growing Discovery Proteomic Platforms (DPP)
group within the Discovery Technologies and Molecular Pharmacology
(DTMP) department of Therapeutics Discovery to apply groundbreaking
approaches to high?scale proteomic analysis ! Be part of a
motivated team deploying innovative mass spectrometry technologies
to tackle challenges in end?to?end drug discovery and development
across a leading multiomics organization. We work
shoulder?to?shoulder across biology, chemistry, and data science to
deliver clear, reproducible proteomic readouts that move medicines
forward. With your help, we will drive development of medicines for
our patients! In this role, you will lead global target
deconvolution proteomics efforts at scale. You’ll build robust,
automated workflows and partner with experts across the
organization to translate clear, reproducible data into meaningful
insights that propel programs forward. You will be responsible for:
Translating scientific goals into high?throughput, automation?ready
proteomics workflows with QC and fit?for?purpose SOPs that enable
consistency across studies and operators. Serving as the proteomics
point of contact for assigned programs; aligning on study strategy,
timelines, and readouts; communicating results clearly to biology,
chemistry, biologics, safety, DMPK, and clinical translation
partners. Partnering with bioinformatics and IT to ensure FAIR data
practices, robust QC pipelines, and timely, decision?ready
analyses; harmonizing effort with multi?omics colleagues for
coordinated readouts. Mentoring and uplifting teammates—sharing
mass?spec standard processes, reviewing methods and data, and
contributing to a culture of scientific excellence, safety, and
continuous improvement. Qualifications / Requirements Education: A
Doctorate degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical
Biology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology or a related field is
required. Experience and Skills: Required: 6 years of hands?on
proteomics mass spectrometry experience, including 3 years in a
drug discovery setting (pharma, biotech, or equivalent applied
environment) is required. Demonstrated leadership in unbiased,
probe?free target deconvolution (e.g., CETSA/TPP, LIP?MS, SPROX,
PISA, limited?proteolysis/structural proteomics), from study design
through interpretation is required. Proven track record
industrializing methods: automation?supported sample prep, robust
QC, SOPs, and multi?operator reproducibility is required. Strong
communication and cross?functional collaboration skills; effective
planning and the ability to run several projects in a fast?paced
environment is required. Technical toolkit – Experience with at
least one tool from each area is required: LC?MS & LC systems:
Thermo Orbitrap Exploris/Eclipse/Fusion Lumos/Astral; Bruker
timsTOF; Vanquish Neo, Evosep One, Dionex UltiMate. Automation
Platforms: Hamilton Microlab STAR, Tecan Fluent, AssayMAP Bravo,
Beckman Biomek, Dynamic Devices Lynx. Data analysis (label?free
included): Proteome Discoverer, MaxQuant, DIA?NN, Spectronaut,
Skyline. Preferred: Experience scaling platform?level methods and
implementing automation?ready protocols is preferred. Expertise in
PTM?focused proteomics and/or exposure to single?cell or spatial
proteomics workflows is preferred. Record of scientific innovation
(publications, patents) and external visibility (e.g., ASMS, HUPO)
is preferred. Familiarity with fit?for?purpose quality systems,
LIMS, and FAIR data principles is preferred. The anticipated base
pay range for this position is $117,000 to $201,250. The Company
maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation
programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for
an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the
applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus
intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results
by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over
a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s
discretion on an individual basis. Subject to the terms of their
respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible
to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit
