(NCE) is a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in
marine and industrial noise and vibration control. Our work
includes prediction and measurement of acoustic environments as we
assist our clients to identify effective control strategies to meet
mission objectives. We are proud to support our government,
commercial marine, and industrial clients to solve a wide range of
acoustical problems. We are seeking a part-time, location-flexible
security professional to fulfill our small-business ISSM and FSO
roles at our Billerica, Massachusetts location. Our security work
requires regular maintenance of security procedures and systems,
remote check-ins with on-site staff, and occasional on-site
support. The ideal candidate is someone that is local and has
knowledge of secure computing systems relevant for a small
business, while also looking for an opportunity to work part time
with location flexibility. Job responsibilities (ISSM):
•Maintaining and overseeing existing MUSA system security program
and policies. •Oversee and support local personnel performing
routine tasks. •Maintain, review, and update System Security Plan
(SSP), Policies and Procedures, etc. •Maintain eMASS access to
effectively manage security authorizations. •Continue to implement
system security education, training, and awareness. •Maintain
systems functions, security policies, technical safeguards, and
operational security measures. •Work with IT manager to implement
security protocols for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
•Maintain awareness of cybersecurity threats and develop mitigation
approaches as needed. •Organize and run monthly CCB meetings.
•Manage and perform Continuous Monitoring tasks. •Prepare for and
conduct security assessments and audits. •Ability to travel to
office in Billerica, MA. Expected on-site requirement is one day
per month. Job Responsibilities (FSO): • Prepare and submit
required reports to applicable government oversight agencies. •
Manage visit request and visit hosting. • Manage and provide
required security training to NCE employees. • Submit, process, and
maintain personnel security applications. • Oversee document
control tasks relating to inventory and courier authorization and
briefings. • Manage tasks relating to employee foreign travel. •
Conduct regular reviews of security processes to ensure compliance
and awareness of all NCE employees. • Conduct required annual
inspections to maintain FCL. • Review DD 254 contracts and Security
Classification Guides (SCGs) and communicate information to
appropriate engineering personnel. • Serve as the primary point of
contact for all security-related inquiries and issues from
employees, customers, and government representatives. Requirements:
• Must hold a current or active US security clearance at the SECRET
level, or able to obtain a clearance within six months of hire. •
Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and DoD industry security
requirements as they pertain to a small business. • Experience in
assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show cyber
security compliance. • Experience developing and supporting DOD
MUSA systems or similar. • IAM Level 1 compliant certification. The
expected weekly commitment is up to 10 hours, with some weeks
