Job Description:
Staff Accountant Location: Tarrytown - 3 days in office.
Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience. CFS has
partnered with a local CPG company that is seeking an experienced
and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their accounting
team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid accounting
background who is eager to contribute to their financial integrity
and efficiency. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in
managing reconciliations, journal entries, and account analyses
while ensuring compliance with internal controls. This position
will also act as a backup for Accounts Payable, providing vital
support for the department's operations. About the company: Growing

benefits. Responsibilities: Reconcile all balance sheet accounts
monthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and
adjustments, to support accurate financial reporting. Investigate
and resolve discrepancies through detailed analysis and
communication with relevant teams. Develop and manage schedules for
month-end close, ensuring timeliness and completeness. Oversee
American Express credit card charges, ensuring proper coding and
compliance with internal policies. Provide backup support for
Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, and
reconciliation. Bank reconciliations. Analysis of reports,
financial statements, etc. Ad hoc requests. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong Excel experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
