The Development Director will collaborate closely with the leadership team to advance the organization's revenue goals through targeted fundraising, donor engagement, and special event execution. This individual will serve as a primary connector between the organization and its philanthropic community, cultivating meaningful relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations, and community stakeholders.

The role requires a seasoned development professional with a background in building donor pipelines, organizing high-impact events, crafting compelling funding proposals, and implementing strategies that increase visibility and drive sustainable giving.

*Primary Responsibilities:*

*Donor Development & Engagement*
* Partner with leadership to execute an annual fundraising plan aligned with the organization's mission and growth strategy
* Manage a portfolio of current and prospective donors; develop tailored engagement strategies for each segment
* Lead donor cultivation efforts, including one-on-one outreach, stewardship campaigns, and recognition efforts
* Coordinate donor communications, such as newsletters, campaign updates, annual reports, and social media content
* Ensure donor data is accurately maintained within the fundraising CRM

*Events & Campaigns*
* Oversee the planning and delivery of key fundraising events, including annual benefits, donor receptions, and community initiatives
* Serve as the main point of contact for event committees, sponsors, and vendors
* Manage logistics, budgets, and promotional efforts for all philanthropic events
* Identify opportunities for new campaigns and giving initiatives to diversify income streams

*Foundation & Grant Strategy*
* Research institutional funding opportunities and align them with program needs and organizational goals
* Write and submit grant applications, proposals, and reporting documentation in collaboration with program staff
* Maintain the grant calendar and ensure compliance with funder deadlines and deliverables
* Gather impact data, testimonials, and success stories to support case statements and funder communications

*Qualifications:*
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, event planning, or related development work
* Proven track record of securing funding from a mix of individuals, foundations, and corporate sources
* Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
* Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
* Comfort engaging with new stakeholders, pitching ideas, and stewarding long-term relationships
